About
Making Switzerland's women's health ecosystem visible
FemTech Switzerland is a collaborative initiative for women's health innovation in and from Switzerland.
It helps founders, researchers, healthcare professionals, investors, policymakers and other contributors discover relevant organisations, understand the field and identify opportunities to work together.
Why the ecosystem map exists
Women's health activity spans healthcare, research, entrepreneurship, investment, education, advocacy and public initiatives. Yet the organisations and resources involved are often fragmented or difficult to find.
The map brings this information together to reveal existing activity, relevant expertise, emerging areas and gaps across the ecosystem.
What is FemTech?
FemTech is an established term for products, services and innovations addressing women's health. Although often associated with technology, the field is much broader and includes healthcare, research, diagnostics, therapeutics, education, services and infrastructure.
Women's health covers conditions that affect women:
- Exclusively, such as menopause or endometriosis
- Differently, through distinct symptoms, risks or treatment needs
- Disproportionately, through a greater prevalence, burden or impact
FemTech Switzerland uses the recognised term while mapping the wider women's health innovation ecosystem.
Our approach
The map is a shared and evolving resource built through research and ecosystem input. Profiles use publicly available, verifiable information to describe each organisation's activities and relationship to women's health.
The map supports discovery without ranking or endorsement. It reflects the information available at the time of review and may not capture every relevant organisation or activity.
Contributing to the map
Anyone can:
- Add an organisation — founders can complete the full profile with AI assistance, or anyone can recommend one with just a name and website
- Request a correction to an existing profile
- Claim a profile to confirm you represent an organisation and request updates
- Share what it takes to build a women's health company through the Founder Pulse
Every contribution is checked for duplicates and reviewed by an editor before publication. Submissions should be concise, factual and supported by public information. Promotional copy, unsupported claims and unsubstantiated medical statements are not accepted.
Claiming a profile uses your email address to confirm your role. An address on the organisation's own domain makes verification quick; otherwise an editor confirms it using public information or your LinkedIn profile.
How we use AI
AI assists with research, summaries and classifications. When a founder adds an organisation, it can pre-fill parts of the profile from public website information. Every suggestion is reviewed and corrected by a human editor before it appears on the map.
AI never approves or publishes content on its own.
Privacy
We collect the information needed to review a submission or profile request, or respond to your community sign-up:
- Your name and email address
- Your role or relationship to the organisation
- The organisation's website and any source links you provide
- Optional phone number, contribution interests, background and messages you share with us
Contributor contact details and internal editorial notes are never published. FemTech Switzerland does not collect personal health data or create public user profiles. Founder Pulse answers are kept private and used only to build an aggregated picture of the ecosystem. Website analytics, if activated, operate only with the appropriate consent.
Terms of use
The platform provides information for ecosystem discovery and orientation. It does not constitute medical, legal or investment advice.
Intelligence content summarises and links to original sources. Organisation details may change between reviews. Please submit a correction with a reliable source if you find inaccurate or outdated information.
